While Nursing...

Here are all the things I have done while nursing (in my life, not necessarily with Noah)

Answer the front door
Make breakfast
change another child's diaper
wipe the table
bring in groceries
play on facebook
write a blog entry (this one to be exact)
tried to sweep (doesn't work)
laundry (hard to get stuff out of washer tho)
read all kinds of books
brush my teeth
put on makeup
watch "The Scarlet Pimpernell" 100 times (at least)
Watched all four seasons of Lois and Clark (90s Superman show)
Watched 11:00 PM Frasier reruns
put 2 year old to bed, (told other kids to get in bed) :)
etc.

They do go through a really cute phase though when they are personally offended if you don't look at them while you nurse, and some of mine would then stop if I talked to anyone else. I think it is so funny!

Haha!! I think while bringing in groceries is my favorite! I remember when I had Hannah (my second) Justin would get so mad when I would nurse her. Just when I would sit down to nurse, he'd do something naughty. One day he started knocking books of the bookshelf. I'd finally had enough and while nursing, got up, took him by the arm and stuck him in timeout! We were both pretty shocked that I could multi-task that way!!

I bet that stopped some of the naughtiness, knowing you were no longer "stuck." :)
Kids crack me up.

Yeah, bringing in the groceries is a new one for me. Sounds like you are managing things quite well. I've been thinking a lot about you lately. I hope little baby Noah is as pleasant as he looks.

You crack me up! I thought nursing was so tricky with my first, I had to plant it - use both hands for 45+ minutes and not budge. But I am much better this time and walking about and getting things done. Maybe by #6, I'll be as good as you!! :)

no need to try and get up. if i had a choice i would sit in a clean house listening to the quiet and enjoying my baby. :)

My favorite, was while nursing number 6, I was chasing around two of my boys-age 3 and 5.5 trying to get them to stop fighting. So, I am grabbing arms and moving kids apart, etc. I didn't think it was that funny at the time, but now it gives me a chuckle!

You are a crack up Jen! Although, a wise mother would call it the epitome of efficiency! Why only do one thing at a time when you can do three? And to answer your question, yes, little girl, July:)

Hehe! I know exactly where you're coming from.

PS I can battle you on the Scarlet Pimpernel numbers...we LOVE that movie.

Jen,
Did you and Liz have your babies on the same day?

JenJ said...

Hi Sar!!
It was Cathy, her first. We were in labor together but she kept going until 1 AM or so the next morning. So technically not. But fun to have a buddy cousin!!

Loved this post, made me laugh and think about all the stuff I managed to do while lactacting too! Ha, my mom even told me that back in the day she would nurse and drive. Ahh, multi-tasking at it's best.

I'm wondering who was at the front door?!

JenJ said...

Ha!

I do it all the time Amy. People hardly notice. :) No strange men, don't worry.
