Votes for Women

This is the story of our Grandmothers and Great-grandmothers;
they lived only 90 years ago. Remember, it was not until 1920 that women were granted the right to go to the polls and vote.The women were innocent and defenseless, but they were jailed nonetheless for picketing the White House, carrying signs asking for the vote.

They fought hard and suffered much. When we stand at the polls it is in gratitude for their efforts. Let us not let one opportunity to place our vote pass us by.

Wow! It is amazing to think about what a blessing it is to live in this day and age. That really wasn't that long ago when women did not have the same privileges. Thanks for helping me to gain a greater appreciation for the wonderful privilege it is to be able to have a say in our government.
